A week-long stay usually suits a static caravan or cottage base near Newquay or St Austell better than daily coastal drives — check whether your accommodation includes parking.

St Ives day trip
Short-stay parking runs roughly £2.30-£5.80 for 3 hours; Smeaton’s Pier is £9.50 a day in high season but drops to £5 in winter – worth timing your visit around.
Weekend break
Padstow is genuinely easier to park in than St Ives or Newquay despite being just as popular – expect a short walk into town rather than a hunt for a space.
