Honest limitation: thin connecting transport
There’s no rail station at the airport – the nearest, Barnetby, is about 4km away, and the connecting Hornsby bus (routes 4/c4) only runs every 4 hours, Monday to Saturday. A taxi from Barnetby costs roughly £13-16. Barnetby itself has genuinely useful onward rail (hourly to Manchester Piccadilly and Liverpool Lime Street), but reaching Barnetby from the airport is the weak link.
